Summary
- New SL-1500CS turntable features revolutionary DeltaSigma Drive tech.
- It offers sonic performance levels far beyond its class standards.
- The turntable is available in March 2026 for £1,099.

Technics has introduced the SL-1500CS Direct Drive Turntable, enhancing its lineup with the proprietary DeltaSigma (ΔΣ) Drive technology. This innovation, previously featured in higher-grade models, aims to eliminate motor vibrations to the "very limits of measurable," promising superior sonic performance for its class.
The SL-1500CS is an evolution of the award-winning SL-1500C, integrating the advanced direct drive motor system. This technology was first implemented in Technics' 2023 GR2 duo models and later in the SL-1300G.
Designed for immediate use, the turntable includes a static-balance S-shape tonearm and a pre-fitted Ortofon 2M RED cartridge on a universal headshell. It also features a built-in phono stage for MM cartridges, alongside a classical Phono output for flexibility.
An automatic tonearm lift function is included to prevent wear on vinyl and stylus. The SL-1500CS will be available in a unique metallic gray finish from March 2026 at a recommended retail price of £1,099.
Additionally, Technics announced the limited-edition SL-1200GME, also featuring DeltaSigma Drive technology, expected to launch this month (February 2026) and anticipated to be a highly desirable collectible.
