TCL is pioneering a significant advancement in display technology with its upcoming AMOLED NXTPAPER screens. These innovative displays aim to deliver the eye-comfort benefits of TCL's existing NXTPAPER technology while achieving flagship-level visual performance. The development involves a fundamental redesign of the display architecture to address issues like brightness and color vibrancy found in current LCD-based NXTPAPER screens.
The new AMOLED NXTPAPER displays are expected to boast an impressive 3,200 nits of brightness, a substantial increase from the 900 nits found in TCL's 70 Pro model. They will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent color gamut coverage, and reduced blue light emission. TCL anticipates launching its first smartphone equipped with this next-generation screen technology before the conclusion of 2026.
