TCL Mini-LED TV Shatters OLED Color Limits

TCL's X11L Super Quantum Dot (SQD) Mini-LED TV has set a new benchmark for color performance, surpassing high-end quantum dot OLED TVs. Announced at CES, this TV utilizes an advanced Mini-LED screen, distinguishing it from the new wave of RGB LED TVs. TCL's Deep Color System, featuring reformulated 'Super Quantum Dots' and an Advanced Color Purity Algorithm, is key to its enhanced color capabilities.

In testing, the TCL X11L achieved superior color volume compared to leading QD-OLED models like the Sony Bravia 8 II and Samsung S95F, and significantly outperformed the Hisense U8QG. While all these premium TVs offer stunning visuals, the X11L proves Mini-LED technology can achieve color realms previously dominated by QD-OLED.

While TCL claims the X11L can reach 100% of the BT.2020 color space, testing measured 91%, with a note that results may vary. The X11L is available in large 75-, 85-, and 98-inch sizes. TCL is also releasing the QM7L and QM8L models featuring SQD technology and an 85-inch RGB LED TV, the RM9L.
