The TCL Tab A1 Plus is positioned as a budget-friendly tablet that doesn't compromise on its display. It features a 12.2-inch LCD screen with a sharp 2400 x 1600 resolution and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, offering vibrant colors and a smooth user interface that rivals higher-priced competitors like the iPad and Samsung Tab 11.
The tablet is encased in a thin, lightweight aluminum unibody, measuring 6.7 mm thick and weighing just over a pound, giving it a premium feel. It also includes IP54 dust and splash resistance. However, to achieve its budget price, TCL made compromises on the cameras, which are serviceable but not exceptional, and the processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 that handles everyday tasks well but is not suited for heavy gaming.
