TCL has launched the NXTPAPER 70 Pro at MWC 2026, focusing on eye comfort with its innovative display technology. This smartphone features a distinctive matte, paper-like screen that minimizes glare and reduces eye fatigue, a significant departure from typical glossy displays. The NXTPAPER 70 Pro offers users three distinct modes: Max Ink Mode for an e-reader experience, Ink Paper Mode for black-and-white viewing, and Color Paper Mode which retains color while providing a softer visual output.
The device is equipped with a 6.9-inch display utilizing NXTPAPER 4.0 technology, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. For productivity, it supports TCL's T-Pen stylus, though a dedicated storage slot is absent. Internally, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, powered by a 5,200mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging. It operates on Android 16 with TCL's custom interface, incorporating AI features and Google Gemini.
The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro is already available in Asia, Europe, and Latin America, priced at €299. TCL has confirmed its release in the US in April 2026. This device is particularly aimed at users looking to reduce digital eye strain or enhance their screen time experience through its unique paper-like visual output and specialized reading modes.
