On November 11, 2025, TAFE, the Chennai-based tractor manufacturer, has unveiled its next-generation electric hybrid tractor, the TAFE EVX75, at the Agritechnica 2025 fair in Hannover, Germany. The EVX75 features a 75 HP hybrid powertrain that seamlessly combines a EU Stage V diesel engine and a 400V electric battery system, enabling the tractor to operate in both zero-emission electric mode and high-demand hybrid mode.
According to TAFE's Vice-Chairman Lakshmi Venu, the company continues to innovate and deliver advanced, dependable solutions for farmers worldwide. TAFE's Chairman and Managing Director, Mallika Srinivasan, stated that the company aspires to achieve global leadership in the sub-100 HP tractor segment, which is the largest volume category globally. TAFE has made significant investments in precision AgTech, smart farming, automation, electrification, and alternate energy technologies, collaborating with startups and academic institutions to develop future-ready products and farm solutions.
