Summary
- Listeners can now review and customize their Spotify taste profile.
- The new feature allows users to fine-tune music recommendations.
- It will begin rolling out to listeners in New Zealand first.

Spotify is empowering users with more control over their music recommendations through a new Taste Profile customization feature. Announced at South by Southwest, the tool allows listeners to directly review and edit how the platform understands their music preferences.
Previously, Spotify's AI analyzed listening habits, including skips and replays, to personalize recommendations. This new feature provides transparency and enables users to manually shape their musical discovery on the platform.
Users can now request more of specific artists or genres, or reduce their exposure to certain music styles. This input will continuously refine Spotify's Home feed and playlist suggestions, ensuring a more curated listening experience. The feature is currently in beta and will initially be available to listeners in New Zealand in the coming weeks.
