Spotify is expanding its literary offerings with new features aimed at book lovers. Users in the US and UK can now purchase physical books directly through the Spotify Android app via a Bookshop.org integration, with iOS support expected next week. This initiative aims to make finding and engaging with books more seamless.
The platform's Page Match feature, which uses a device's camera to sync reading progress between physical books and audiobooks, is being rolled out in over 30 additional languages. Furthermore, the AI-driven audiobook recap feature, which summarizes previously listened content, has launched on Android following its initial release on iOS.
Spotify is also broadening its Audiobook Charts to include Germany and introducing a new dedicated chart for children's and family-friendly audiobooks in the US and UK. These updates underscore Spotify's commitment to integrating reading into daily life and supporting authors and publishers.
