The high-tech terminals are intended to resolve internet access challenges in several of Armenia's high-altitude areas and its educational institutions. SpaceX has also committed to funding the service for these terminals for a full year.
Starlink's permission to operate in Armenia was granted on December 13, 2024, with services officially launching on March 27, 2025. The satellite system is developed by SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, to provide internet through a network of low-Earth orbit satellites.
This collaboration signifies a significant step in enhancing digital infrastructure within Armenia, particularly in underserved regions.
