SpaceX Pauses Free Starlink Mini Offer Due to High Demand

SpaceX has temporarily halted its promotion offering a free Starlink Mini dish and router for new Residential Max subscribers. This decision comes as a direct result of unexpectedly high customer demand for the complimentary hardware. The company cited the surge in interest as the reason for a "short delay" in customers being able to claim or receive their promotional items.

To manage this influx and ensure sufficient supply, SpaceX is increasing production capacity at its Starlink factory located in Bastrop, Texas. The company’s goal is to double the factory’s output to meet the demand for its recently revamped Starlink plan lineup. This overhaul includes reintroducing the 100Mbps Starlink plan, the most affordable option for home internet users in the US.
