Robosen has introduced a groundbreaking Transformer robot named Soundwave, which offers more than just its iconic transforming capabilities. This innovative robot can automatically convert between its robot form and an object, but its unique feature lies in its dual audio functionalities. It serves as a high-quality Bluetooth speaker for music playback.
Furthermore, Soundwave integrates an actual cassette player, a nod to retro audio formats and the resurgence of physical media. This feature includes functional buttons for recording, playback, fast forward, and rewind, adding a nostalgic and practical element to the robot. The original voice actor, Frank Welker, recorded over 200 lines for the character.
Soundwave also boasts voice command recognition for over 48 phrases, controlled via "Hey, Soundwave" or an accompanying app, offering convenience and interactivity. Priced initially at $1,000 for preorders, it will increase to $1,400 after January 5, with units slated to ship in April 2026.
