Sony's Cheaper WH-1000XM4C Leaked!

Sony's highly-regarded WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones, known for their superior audio, active noise cancellation (ANC), and comfort, might soon have a more budget-friendly sibling. A leak suggests Sony is preparing to launch the WH-1000XM4C, a variant of the former flagship model.

These upcoming headphones are anticipated to closely mirror the original WH-1000XM4, boasting the same ANC chip and 40mm dynamic drivers. Features like DSEE Extreme upscaling, adaptive sound control, and LDAC support are also expected to be included, offering a familiar high-quality user experience.

While the WH-1000XM4C is projected to offer 27 hours of battery life with ANC active, a slight decrease from the WH-1000XM4's 30 hours, the most significant difference lies in pricing. The new model is rumored to launch around $100 cheaper than the original $350 debut price, potentially retailing at approximately $250.

This makes the WH-1000XM4C a potentially attractive alternative to newer, more expensive models like the WH-1000XM6 ($450) and the even pricier Collexion edition ($650). It could also position Sony competitively against offerings from brands like Nothing and Bose, whose latest headphones retail for $360.
