Summary
- Unconventional clip-on design attaches to outer ear.
- Features IPX4 water resistance for buds, not the case.
- Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint support, but lacks LDAC.

Sony has introduced the LinkBuds Clip, available in black, green, greige, and lavender. These earbuds adopt a unique C-shaped clip design, attaching to the outer ear rather than resting in the ear canal. This distinct approach, secured by a soft silicone band, offers a comfortable fit that users might easily forget they are wearing, even during extended listening sessions.
The LinkBuds Clip come with an IPX4 rating, providing splash and water resistance specifically for the earbud buds, though the charging case is not protected. This rating makes them suitable for use during exercise and in light rain. Touch controls are integrated into the capacitive band, offering play/pause, track skipping, and volume adjustments, alongside controls for different sound modes on the left bud.
Connectivity is managed via Bluetooth 5.3, which includes multipoint support for simultaneous connection to two devices. While the earbuds support AAC and SBC codecs, the absence of Sony's proprietary LDAC codec is a drawback for audiophiles. Each bud houses a 10mm dynamic driver, promising a broad frequency range for audio playback.
