New renders of Sony's upcoming 'The Collexion' headphones have surfaced, showcasing a design remarkably similar to the existing WH-1000XM6 model. These images, available in black and white, suggest that Sony is opting for an evolutionary approach to its premium headphone line.

The most notable changes appear to be the materials used for the headband and ear pads, which are rumored to be vegan leather instead of the XM6's plastic. A new hinge mechanism is also visible, potentially indicating a more robust build quality for The Collexion.

While the external design remains familiar, internal hardware upgrades are anticipated to justify the rumored high price point, potentially around $600. The renders confirm a USB-C port but omit a 3.5mm headphone jack, a trend seen in many modern high-end audio devices. An official release is anticipated around May 19.
