The Sony Bravia 7 II, an RGB mini-LED model, has been pitted against the five-star LG C6 OLED, a top TV from 2026. Both were tested in their respective Filmmaker Modes.

The Bravia 7 II offers brighter highlights and more vibrant yellows, while the LG C6 delivers richer, deeper colors and bolder reds, often appearing more accurate. For real-life content, the Bravia 7 II's warmer tones sometimes felt more true-to-life, though its colors could occasionally appear washed out compared to the C6's superior saturation.

In dark room viewing, the LG C6 excels with deeper blacks and higher perceived contrast due to OLED's pixel-level dimming. It offers a crisper image, bolder colors, more dynamic contrast, and a more competitive price of $1,499/£1,499/AU$2,995 for a 55-inch model, compared to the Bravia 7 II's $1,799/£1,799/AU$2,995. However, RGB mini-LED technology shows great promise for the future.
