Solana's Seeker Phone Gets Native Token: SKR Launching January 2026

Solana Mobile has unveiled key details regarding SKR, the upcoming native token for its Seeker smartphone ecosystem. Scheduled for a January 2026 launch, SKR is poised to become the foundational element for both the economy and governance of Solana's decentralized mobile platform, building upon the features of its predecessor, the Saga device.

The token will feature a fixed total supply of 10 billion units. Distribution strategies emphasize user engagement and ecosystem expansion, with substantial allocations designated for airdrops and growth initiatives. A portion is also reserved for liquidity support, a community treasury, and Solana Mobile and Solana Labs.

Furthermore, SKR will implement a linear inflation model designed to incentivize early adoption and network security through staking. This model begins with a 10% inflation rate in the first year, gradually decreasing annually until it stabilizes at a 2% terminal rate, ensuring predictable issuance over time.
