Slack is rolling out significant upgrades to boost user productivity, centered around an enhanced Slackbot AI. Expected soon, Slackbot will engage in two-way conversations, enabling users to perform business tasks by simply speaking.

A demonstration showed this capability, allowing a worker to request deal progression and receive confirmation, all hands-free. While initial demos showed some delays, the feature is slated for a future release.
Further innovations include Surface, a tool for creating live, interactive workflow interfaces directly within Slack. Users will also gain the ability to generate video and deck assets for presentations without leaving the platform. Additionally, Slackbot can now be tagged into channels, facilitating group-wide actions and solutions.
