Skye App: Your iPhone's New AI-Powered 'Agent'

A new iPhone application called Skye is set to redefine user interaction with artificial intelligence on smartphones. Currently undergoing private testing, Skye aims to create an "agentic homescreen" by leveraging iOS widgets as its primary interface.

This innovative approach promises to bring ambient intelligence directly to users' devices. Skye can offer personalized insights related to local weather, user context, and health metrics. It also features capabilities such as drafting email replies, assisting with meeting preparation, setting reminders, and flagging suspicious financial transactions.

The startup behind Skye, Signull Labs, has already attracted substantial investor attention. An SEC filing reveals that the company successfully raised more than $3.58 million in pre-seed funding as of September 2025. Pitchbook estimates the New York-based startup's post-money valuation at $19.5 million.

Since announcing its plans on X, the app's creator, known pseudonymously as signüll (Nirav Savjani), claims "tens of thousands" of users have joined the waitlist. This indicates a strong consumer demand for a more AI-integrated iPhone experience. Early backers include prominent venture capital firms like a16z, True Ventures, and SV Angel.

Skye is preparing for a phased launch to its waitlist users in the near future, though specific dates have not yet been disclosed. The app's development is spearheaded by a small team, with its founder having prior experience at Google and Meta.
