Summary
- New model features a refined chassis and larger battery options.
- Improved seat comfort and a lower seat height enhance rider accessibility.
- Sharper handling and brisk acceleration define the updated electric scooter.

Simple Energy has launched the second generation of its Simple One electric scooter in India, featuring substantial refinements and aggressive pricing. The Gen 2 model addresses previous feedback with a revised chassis, improved build quality in some areas, and notably, options for larger 5 kWh batteries. This new battery placement lowers the center of gravity, contributing to sharper handling and a more balanced feel for urban riders.
The design retains the sporty silhouette of its predecessor but includes subtle updates like vents for the 7-inch TFT screen. Ergonomics have seen a significant uplift, with a newly contoured, more supportive seat and a reduced 780 mm seat height for better accessibility. While the front suspension can feel stiff over rough roads, the overall ride and handling are improved for city commutes.
