At the recent CES, Sharpa's advanced humanoid robot captured significant attention with its array of autonomous capabilities. The robot demonstrated an impressive range of skills, engaging attendees by playing ping-pong, dealing blackjack games, and even taking selfies. These public displays highlighted the robot's adaptability and general-purpose design for diverse applications.
A key innovation on display was SharpaWave, a remarkably dexterous 1:1 scale robotic human hand. This advanced appendage features 22 active degrees of freedom, enabling precise and intricate finger movements that accurately mirrored user gestures. The hand's sophisticated design allows for delicate interactions with objects.
Further enhancing its capabilities, each fingertip is equipped with a minicamera and over 1,000 tactile pixels. This enables the hand to gauge the required force for picking up items, such as gently plucking a playing card from a deck. Sharpa's commitment to creating versatile robots was evident through its humanoid's multifaceted performance at CES.
