Sennheiser has unveiled its latest audio innovation with the Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds, a significant upgrade featuring user-replaceable batteries. This groundbreaking feature extends to both the earbuds themselves and their charging case, allowing for quick and easy battery swaps with minimal tools.
This refresh also brings enhanced battery performance, offering users 12 hours of continuous playback on a single charge and an impressive 40 hours when utilizing the charging case. A quick charge function provides an extra hour of listening time from just eight minutes of charging.
The design has been refined for a more comfortable, "barely there" fit, with 73 percent of testers preferring the new slimmer profile. The charging case has also been redesigned to be more pocket-friendly. Improved voice call quality is expected due to an AI speech enhancement algorithm.
Audio fidelity is maintained with Sennheiser's 7mm TrueResponse transducer, supporting high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz via Bluetooth 6.0. The earbuds include an 8-band EQ via a free app and spatial audio with head-tracking capabilities. The Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds will be available on September 3 for $300 in five color options.
