Sennheiser has introduced a new set of wireless headphones and a transmitter designed for effortless private TV watching, utilizing the emerging Bluetooth Auracast feature. This technology enables multiple devices, including headphones and hearing aids, to tune into audio broadcasts without the usual pairing process.
The RS 275 TV Headphones bundle, priced at $299.95, will be available for preorder starting February 3rd and is expected to ship on February 17th. The bundle includes HDR 275 TV Headphones with replaceable ear cushions and a 50-hour battery.
Accompanying the headphones is the BTA1 TV Transmitter, sold separately for $129.95, which can connect to various audio sources via HDMI or a 3.5mm analog cable. Users can configure settings, including video delay compensation, through a Bluetooth connection to their phone.
While Auracast support is still growing, with products from JBL, Sony, and LG already featuring it, Sennheiser's BTA1 offers a convenient way to integrate this advanced audio sharing capability into home entertainment systems.
