Schenker Element 16: RAM King Reaches 72GB

The Schenker Element 16 (E26) is now on sale globally, featuring an unprecedented 72 GB DDR5 RAM capacity. This 16-inch laptop starts at 1,499 euros and is slated to ship in late August 2026. It offers a 5% early-bird discount until the end of the month.

The Element 16 achieves its 72 GB RAM ceiling by combining 8 GB of soldered memory with a single SODIMM slot that can accommodate up to a 64 GB module. It is powered by Intel's Core Ultra 300 series processors, known as Panther Lake, and includes an NPU for AI tasks. Graphics are handled by integrated Intel Xe3 cores, foregoing a discrete GPU.

With a 1.9 kg chassis, the laptop aims for extended battery life. Its 16-inch IPS display offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution at 120 Hz, 400 nits brightness, and full sRGB coverage. Storage options go up to 8 TB via an M.2 slot with PCIe 5.0 connectivity. The device also meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards and provides robust connectivity, including Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and HDMI.

A key differentiator is its modular design, featuring a screwless quick-release bottom panel. Schenker has committed to providing at least one more generation of drop-in mainboards, making it a potential long-term alternative to other upgrade-friendly laptops. However, the 72 GB RAM configuration is currently listed as unavailable in the configurator, with users able to opt for up to 40 GB modules.
