Summary
- New Sandisk SSDs for NAS systems offer up to 7.68TB capacity.
- Flagship NAS 800 boasts an impressive 14 PBW endurance rating.
- Drives available in SATA and PCIe 5.0 options for diverse needs.

Sandisk has introduced two new SSD families, the NAS 600 (SATA) and NAS 800 (PCIe 5.0), specifically engineered for network-attached storage (NAS) systems. These drives offer capacities up to a substantial 7.68TB, targeting prosumers, creative professionals, and small businesses. The NAS 600 SATA drives come in capacities up to 4TB, while the high-performance NAS 800 NVMe drives leverage PCIe 5.0 connectivity for speeds up to 14,900 MB/s.
The NAS 800 stands out with an extraordinary endurance rating of 14 PBW for its 7.68TB model, indicating its suitability for continuous, heavy write workloads. This endurance far surpasses typical consumer SSDs, making it ideal for demanding applications like databases, virtualization, and content creation. Both SSD families are designed for the rigorous demands of multi-user, always-on NAS environments.
Pricing for the NAS 600 starts at $179.99 for 500GB and goes up to $999.99 for 4TB. The NAS 800 series begins at $309.99 for 960GB and reaches $2,199.99 for the 7.68TB model. These new SSDs are slated for availability in September through Sandisk's official channels and select e-commerce platforms.
