This upcoming phone is designed with a shorter and wider form factor, reminiscent of early wide-screen foldables like the Oppo Find N. Its primary advantage lies in its 4:3 aspect ratio, which promises a more immersive video-watching experience with significantly reduced letterboxing compared to the current Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The development of this wide-screen foldable addresses a key limitation of existing devices for media consumption. While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is praised for web browsing, its squarish display results in large borders during video playback. The proposed "Wide Fold" aims to be a versatile device, excelling in both productivity and entertainment, a feat that could also be achieved by the larger Galaxy Z TriFold.

This rumored device is expected to feature a 5.4-inch cover screen and 25W wireless charging, potentially debuting alongside the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
