Fold 8 Preorders Open; Fold 7 Deals Surge

Samsung has officially announced the upcoming release of its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra, with preorders now open and a release date set for August 7, 2026. The Fold 8 will feature a compact, passport-sized design, while the Fold 8 Ultra retains the familiar aesthetics of its predecessor.

As the new models are poised to hit the market, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which remains a top-tier foldable, is currently experiencing significant price reductions. Retailers are actively clearing stock of the previous generation model, making it an attractive purchase for consumers. The Fold 7 is lauded for its sleek appearance, expansive screen, and robust 4,400-mAh battery, earning praise for being "slim, powerful and surprisingly practical."

Originally priced starting at $2,000 for the 256GB version, the Fold 7 is now subject to various discounts and trade-in offers. It boasts impressive specifications, including a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch interior display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 12GB of RAM. The device also features a 200-megapixel rear camera system and runs on Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 8. The Fold 7 is available in jet black, blue shadow, and silver shadow, with an exclusive mint-green option for online orders directly from Samsung.
