Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book 6 series with the introduction of the Galaxy Book 6 Edge. This new model distinguishes itself by running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite processor, an upgrade from the Intel chips found in other Galaxy Book 6 laptops. Samsung highlights the chipset's AI performance, stating it can achieve up to 80 TOPS.
The device sports a 16-inch, 3K Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display with anti-reflective properties and adaptive brightness for optimal viewing. It supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with DX. For audio, it includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Connectivity options on the Galaxy Book 6 Edge feature a single HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card slot, one USB 3.2 port, and two USB 4.0 ports. It also includes a headphone/microphone combo jack, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 7. Samsung claims the laptop's battery can last up to 22 hours of video playback and can be recharged to 40% capacity in 30 minutes using the bundled 65W adapter.
Weighing 3.42 pounds and measuring under half an inch thick, the Galaxy Book 6 Edge is available in a single configuration: 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage. The laptop is priced at $2,100.
