Roscosmos Aims for 50% Civilian Output by 2030

Russia's state-run space corporation, Roscosmos, has set an ambitious goal to significantly increase its civilian and dual-use product output. By 2030, the corporation aims for these non-military products to constitute at least half of its total production.

This strategic diversification includes a strong focus on developing high-technology medical rehabilitation solutions. A notable project involves the creation of advanced prosthetics, featuring the Active 2 microprocessor-controlled knee module, which is entirely developed and manufactured within Russia and stands as the only off-the-shelf item of its kind.

The initiative marks a collaborative effort, beginning with a meeting involving representatives from the Russian Defense Ministry, the Military-Industrial Commission Board, and other key foundations. This partnership is expected to accelerate the development and implementation of cutting-edge medical technologies.
