Rokid AI Glasses: ChatGPT Meets Style

Rokid has entered the smart glasses arena with its AI Glasses Style, a device aiming to compete with offerings from Meta. These display-free glasses look like regular sunglasses but are equipped with a camera, speakers, and a microphone, enabling users to capture photos and videos, listen to music, and take calls.

A standout feature is the integration of AI, allowing users to ask questions via ChatGPT hands-free. The companion app is robust, but the battery life is particularly noteworthy, lasting up to 12 hours on a single charge. This impressive longevity contrasts with a less convenient charging method, as a charging case is not included in the standard package.

The design prioritizes comfort, with the glasses weighing just 38.5 grams, significantly lighter than competitors. This lightweight build, combined with comfortable nose pads, makes them suitable for all-day wear. The 12 MP camera captures vibrant daylight photos and stable video up to 3K resolution, with longer recording times than some rivals.

While the Rokid AI Glasses Style offer a strong feature set at $299, they do have some drawbacks. The build quality feels slightly less sturdy than some competitors, and the default lens tint may be too dark for indoor use. Notably, they lack video calling support, a feature present in some other smart glasses.
