6 Jan
Summary
- Rokid AI Glasses are significantly lighter than Meta's offering.
- New smart glasses feature multiple AI engines, including ChatGPT.
- Rokid glasses offer a cheaper alternative to Meta's smart eyewear.

At CES 2026, Rokid introduced its AI Glasses Style, a direct competitor to Meta's smart glasses, focusing on lightweight design and advanced AI capabilities. These new glasses weigh a mere 38.5 grams, offering superior comfort for extended use compared to their heavier Meta counterparts. The Rokid AI Glasses Style are powered by the Qualcomm AR1 chipset and integrate multiple AI engines, including ChatGPT, allowing for versatile AI assistance based on user queries.
Beyond AI, the Rokid glasses feature Microsoft AI Translation supporting 89 languages and integrate Google Maps for navigation. While the open-ear audio is less immersive than Meta's offering, the overall functionality, including a 12MP camera for 4K capture, presents a compelling package. The companion Hi Rokid app provides a user-friendly interface for managing settings, viewing media, and customizing AI models.
Priced at $299, the Rokid AI Glasses Style are more affordable than the latest Meta Ray-Bans, with early-bird discounts available. They are set to go on sale starting January 19, with an initial release in Jet Black. Although they falter slightly in speaker quality and charging convenience due to a proprietary mechanism, their lighter build and lower cost make them a significant contender in the smart glasses market.
