The latest Redmi Note 17 Pro Max introduces a groundbreaking 9,210mAh dual-cell battery, the largest ever from Xiaomi in Europe, with some global markets receiving an even larger 10,000mAh single-cell design. This significant power source utilizes a silicon-carbon composition with a high 16 percent silicon content for enhanced energy density, allowing the device to fit into a form factor similar to an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Users can expect up to three days of usage or an impressive 37 hours of continuous video playback from this substantial battery. Xiaomi assures longevity, stating the battery should retain 80 percent of its capacity over 1600 charging cycles, estimated to last approximately six years.
Complementing the battery, the phone supports 100W wired charging, capable of a full charge in just over an hour or providing a day's power in about 20 minutes. Other specifications include a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, a 6.83-inch OLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and an IP69K rating.
The cameras, however, represent a compromise, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is slated for release in Europe, Australia, and Latin America for the local equivalent of $499, excluding the US. This model leads a series where even the base 4G-only Note 17 features a 7,700mAh battery.
