Summary
- Ada, an AI assistant, manages schedules and answers questions.
- It handles emails and uses company knowledge bases for info.
- Ada acts as a 24/7 digital twin for around-the-clock assistance.

Read AI has introduced Ada, an AI assistant that operates via email, functioning as a "digital twin" available around the clock. This new tool is designed to streamline task management for users.
Ada can effectively manage schedules by interacting with recipients regarding meeting availability. It also leverages a company's knowledge base, past meeting discussions, and public internet searches to answer inquiries. Furthermore, Ada assists in drafting responses to emails, including out-of-office replies, ensuring no sensitive data is shared without permission.
According to Read AI's VP of Product, Justin Farris, Ada builds a knowledge graph from meeting data and connected services, eschewing Model Context Protocols for more contextual responses. CEO David Shim likens Ada's integration to training a new employee, where connecting more services enhances its capabilities over time.
While currently email-based, Ada is slated for expansion to platforms like Slack and Teams soon. Read AI boasts over 5 million monthly active users, with plans to reach 10 million, and observes substantial daily sign-ups. The U.S. remains its primary market, though international users contribute significantly to revenue.
This launch follows Read AI's strategic integration of AI tools, including Search Copilot and capabilities for updating CRM software and sending custom emails. Competitors are also enhancing their offerings, with Granola introducing 'recipes' and Quill automating tasks through various integrations.
