Razer has unveiled the Boomslang 20th Anniversary Edition, a limited-run gaming mouse that revives a 1999 classic with a hefty $1,337 price tag. This re-imagined peripheral pays homage to its predecessor with a distinctive design, featuring PU leather buttons and an emerald green finish, complemented by eight-zone RGB lighting.
Internally, the Boomslang boasts modern gaming technology, inheriting components from the DeathAdder V4 Pro. This includes a state-of-the-art optical sensor capable of 45,000 DPI and an 8,000Hz polling rate for exceptional responsiveness. The mouse also utilizes Razer's latest optical switches and offers eight customizable controls.
This collectible item is not intended as a primary gaming mouse due to its premium materials and lack of ergonomic advancements from the past two decades. Razer is producing only 1,337 units, each presented in a special PU leather case. Preorders are scheduled to commence on February 10th at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT, targeting PC gaming enthusiasts and collectors.
