Summary
- Radon-O system effectively counters commercial and complex drones.
- System protects industrial, energy, and transport infrastructure.
- It integrates radar, electronic warfare, and optical targeting.

Russia's state tech corporation Rostec has announced the successful trials of its Radon-O anti-drone system. The technology has demonstrated significant effectiveness against a range of unmanned aerial threats, including advanced models that can alter their operating frequencies.
The Radon-O system is designed for deployment at industrial facilities. It offers protection for production sites, vital oil and gas infrastructure, transport networks, and venues hosting mass events. Its capabilities extend to countering both simple commercial drones and sophisticated military-grade vehicles.
Manufactured by RosEl, a Rostec subsidiary, the Radon-O is an integrated defense kit. It comprises a Bug radar for low-altitude target tracking, a Terney-M electronic module for airwave monitoring, a Neman optronic system for target classification, and a Dvina-50 subsystem for disabling drone control and navigation. The Don system synchronizes all these components.
