Proton VPN lands on Amazon's Vega OS

Proton VPN has launched a native application for Amazon Fire TV devices running the new Vega OS. This development allows users to maintain their streaming privacy on upgraded smart TVs that no longer support older Android-based apps. The application is available for direct download from the smart TV interface, simplifying the process of securing internet connections and accessing geo-restricted content.

Amazon's transition to Vega OS required developers to rebuild applications. Proton VPN joins a growing list of providers, including NordVPN, IPVanish, Surfshark, and ExpressVPN, in offering support for this new operating system. This expansion provides consumers with more robust options for enhancing their smart home security and online privacy.
