10 Jun
Summary
- Atom 3 offers 40-minute flight time with standard battery.
- Drone features 50MP photos and 4K60 HDR video.
- US FCC banned foreign-made drones, impacting Atom 3 sales.

Potensic has introduced the Atom 3 drone to the European market, targeting first-time pilots and budget-conscious photographers. This latest model boasts a 40-minute standard flight time and an upgraded camera system. The new camera includes a Type 1/1.3 sensor capable of 50MP photos and 4K60 HDR video, alongside a 2x lossless zoom. Its takeoff weight of 249g adheres to regulatory restrictions in many regions.
However, US drone enthusiasts will be unable to purchase the Atom 3. In late 2025, the FCC added all forthcoming foreign-made drones to its Covered List, effectively barring Potensic from selling its new device stateside. Potensic remains optimistic about future US market opportunities and is actively pursuing FCC certification, despite the current regulatory climate.
The Atom 3 is available in standard and bundle configurations. The standard edition includes the drone, a smartphone-connecting remote, and one flight battery. More comprehensive bundles, such as the Fly More Combo and Fly More Combo Plus, offer additional batteries and advanced controllers with built-in displays. Pricing for the Atom 3 has not yet been announced but is expected to align with the value proposition of its predecessor.
