This integration, announced by Samsung, will initially benefit owners of the Porsche Macan and the forthcoming Cayenne Electric, with broader support for other Porsche models planned.
The Digital Key feature, leveraging secure UWB or NFC technology, is scheduled for an initial rollout in Europe during December, with a global expansion to follow in alignment with Porsche's vehicle launch timelines. This technology enables keyless entry and ignition directly from a smartphone, enhancing user convenience.
Compatible Samsung devices include models as far back as the Galaxy S20 series. The system also offers robust security features, such as the ability to remotely lock or delete digital keys if a phone is lost or stolen, providing peace of mind to users.
