Developer Jon Simantov has released helloyellow, a new application designed to enhance communication among Playdate owners. This app enables users to send voice messages, create group chats, and share achievements directly within the Playdate device.
The functionality extends to recording messages even when offline, which are then sent upon reconnection. Users can also record personal voice notes. While the free version imposes a two-minute limit on messages, the full version allows for recordings up to ten minutes long.
Friends are added using unique hellocodes, and an integrated emoji library facilitates reactions. Helloyellow is available on itch.io, offering a free, albeit limited, experience or a full-featured version for $5.
