Despite not achieving the 2nm node, Google highlights several upgrades for the Tensor G6. The company claims the chip will offer 25% faster web browsing and 15% quicker app launches, alongside a 50% increase in TPU compute. An upgraded Titan M3 security chip is also included, enhancing device security. The chip also supports an improved Image Signal Processor for better Night Sight and digital zoom capabilities.
Concerns about the Pixel line's performance relative to competitors like Apple and Samsung persist. A recent Geekbench listing revealed a multicore score of 5,196 and a single-core score of 2,112 for the Tensor G6. This score indicates the CPU could be approximately 50% slower than the Samsung S26 Ultra, raising questions about the Pixel 11's future competitiveness.
