7 Jan
Summary
- SpatialAware synchronizes room lights for natural color representation.
- AR room scanning maps light positions for intelligent color tailoring.
- New AI assistant features and Apple Home integration also launching.

Philips Hue is introducing SpatialAware, a groundbreaking software feature set to revolutionize smart lighting. Designed exclusively for the Hue Bridge Pro, this technology ensures all lights within a space harmonize, creating natural and dynamic color scenes. For instance, a sunset simulation will cast warm yellows on one side of the room while reflecting darker hues on the opposite ceiling.
Utilizing smartphone augmented reality, users will scan their rooms to pinpoint light locations. A sophisticated algorithm then intelligently coordinates each light, adapting to real-time adjustments and new additions. This feature, launching in spring 2026, will transform how users experience lighting environments.
Beyond SpatialAware, Philips Hue is rolling out several other enhancements in Q1 2026. These include improved migration for multiple Hue Bridges to a single Bridge Pro, expanded Apple Home compatibility for Hue Secure cameras and doorbells, and an updated AI assistant capable of creating automations via natural language requests in new languages.
