Pixelpaw Labs has introduced Phase, a novel computer mouse designed to split into two separate wireless game controllers. Each controller half is equipped with joysticks, buttons, and triggers, providing a flexible input system for gamers. The mouse itself boasts an optical sensor with up to 16,000 DPI and a 1,000 Hz polling rate, offering high performance for PC use.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth and a 2.4 GHz dongle, with the ability to pair with up to three devices simultaneously. The battery life is estimated at around 72 hours on a single charge. Instead of a traditional scroll wheel, Phase utilizes a capacitive touch surface for scrolling. The company plans to fund production through a Kickstarter campaign, with an anticipated launch price of $159. Deliveries are projected for late 2026 or early 2027.
An optional accessory called Phasegrip is also in development, which will enable the controller halves to be attached to a mobile phone, further expanding the device's functionality for mobile gaming. Early pre-orders with a refundable $20 deposit are available, offering an additional 15% launch discount and securing a place in line.
