Summary
- New TimeCard enhances server-integrated timing for critical applications.
- Supports multiple deployment architectures and diverse timing sources.
- Reduces reliance on external timing appliances by integrating into servers.
Oscilloquartz has significantly upgraded its OSA 5400 TimeCard, enhancing server-integrated timing for critical defense, data center, telecom, and finance applications. The new capabilities allow for precise synchronization directly within commercial off-the-shelf and custom servers. This integration reduces dependence on dedicated external timing hardware, offering greater flexibility and resilience.
The enhanced platform, available as the OSA 5400 TimeCard and OSA 5400 TAP TimeCard, includes support for PCIe Precision Time Measurement and multi-band Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) with NavIC and Galileo OSNMA. It also features advanced jamming and spoofing detection, with options for multiple oscillator configurations.
Further increasing resilience, the OSA 5400 TAP TimeCard integrates with the OCP-TAP architecture and Linux management. The OSA 5400 TimeCard offers PTP grandmaster, boundary clock, and slave clock functionalities, alongside NTP. An optional Iridium PNT service provides an alternative to GNSS in challenging environments. Support for various timing interfaces like IRIG-B and future White Rabbit compatibility are also included.
