ORICO's OBook15: Storage Ace Transforms into AI Laptop

ORICO, a company with 17 years of experience in storage accessories, has officially entered the laptop market with its OBook15 model. This new notebook is designed for students, early-career professionals, and content creators, featuring a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor. The processor includes eight cores, sixteen threads, and a boost clock up to 4.7GHz, complemented by a built-in Radeon 680M GPU.

The OBook15 comes equipped with LPDDR5 memory and PCIe 3.0 SSDs, offering up to 1TB of storage. Notably, it includes two M.2 2280 slots, with one remaining empty to support up to 4TB of additional PCIe 4.0 storage, providing significant expandability. The laptop sports a 15.6-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It also includes a 1MP camera with a physical shutter and diverse connectivity options, such as USB-C and USB-A ports.

The device runs Windows 11 Home and features a full-size backlit keyboard with a numeric pad. Its chassis measures 356.5 x 232 x 19.35 mm and weighs 1.8 kg, with an aluminum alloy lid and base. Cooling is managed by dual fans and heat pipes to maintain processor performance. The OBook15 also integrates XiaoAo, an AI assistant designed to enhance productivity and automate workflows. Preorders are available in the US and the Philippines, with pricing starting at $689.99 for the 12GB/256GB configuration.
