Summary
- Oracle and AWS enhance cloud networking for seamless operations.
- Oracle stock rose around 4% on the news.
- The new integration is set to launch in the latter half of 2025.

Amazon Web Services and Oracle are solidifying their cloud computing partnership with an advanced multicloud networking solution. This integration links Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) directly with AWS environments, offering clients secure and high-performance connections. The objective is to enable organizations to run applications and move data between cloud platforms without needing separate network providers or complex data duplication.
Oracle executive Nathan Thomas highlighted that this connectivity solution will provide customers with "flexibility, agility, and performance across clouds." The enhanced infrastructure supports comprehensive and hybrid multicloud architectures, allowing for specialized workload deployment on each platform. Oracle states this will also "accelerate AI modernization while meeting operational flexibility."
The new Oracle-AWS connectivity capability is slated for deployment in the latter half of 2025, initially in AWS's US East (N. Virginia) region. This collaboration builds upon the existing Oracle AI Database@AWS service. Oracle recently reported strong Q3 financial results, with cloud services revenue increasing by 44% year-over-year, exceeding analyst expectations.
