Nvidia is significantly expanding its GeForce Now cloud gaming service with new platform integrations announced at CES 2026. Early this year will see the launch of a native Linux application, supporting Ubuntu 24.04 and later. This app will leverage RTX 5080-powered servers, enabling gameplay at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second or Full HD at 360 frames per second.
Further broadening accessibility, select Amazon Fire TV Sticks will also gain a dedicated GeForce Now app. The rollout begins with the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2nd Gen) and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen). This move follows Amazon's recent integration of Xbox Game Pass, suggesting a growing trend in cloud gaming on living room devices.
Beyond these major platform expansions, Nvidia is enhancing user experience with easier sign-ins via platform integrations, starting with Battle.net and later Gaijin.net. The service is also introducing support for flight control systems in popular titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and has recently updated monthly usage limits to 100 hours for most subscribers.
