Freeman expressed his frustration, saying "I'm a little PO'd, you know. I'm like any other actor: don't mimic me with falseness. I don't appreciate it and I get paid for doing stuff like that, so if you're gonna do it without me, you're robbing me."
The actor is not alone in his battle against AI exploitation. Scarlett Johansson has also been vocal about her anger towards OpenAI for using a voice similar to hers without her consent. However, some celebrities like Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine have embraced AI, inking deals to produce virtual replications of their famous voices.
