14 Apr
Summary
- ProGrade Digital memory cards were used on the Artemis II Moon mission.
- These cards handled harsh space conditions and captured iconic Earth images.
- The same 400GB memory cards are available for consumers to purchase.

The same memory cards used to capture stunning images of Earth during the Artemis II mission are now available for consumers. ProGrade Digital's CFexpress Type B Iridium cards were instrumental in this historic journey, journeying farther from home than any humans before.
These cards were selected through a NASA Space Act agreement after demonstrating their ability to endure the challenging environments encountered in space. Rigorous testing ensured their reliability for capturing high-resolution video and still images in specially designed cameras.
The 400GB version of these cards, supporting read speeds up to 3550MB/s and sustained write speeds up to 850MB/s, are now commercially available. This offers a unique opportunity for photographers to own hardware that has been trusted for actual crewed space exploration, including future Artemis missions.
