The ModRetro M64 console offers a contemporary way to experience Nintendo 64 classics. It retains the original console's appearance with a modern, transparent shell available in four colors. The M64 accepts all original N64 cartridges, alongside new titles from ModRetro.
Connectivity is streamlined with USB-C power and an HDMI output for easy integration with modern displays. The console includes four controller ports, supporting original N64 controllers as well as various wired and wireless Bluetooth gamepads. ModRetro also launches its own M64 Pro controller.
Gaming performance is largely impressive, with upscaling options allowing play in 720p, 1080p, or 4K. While some games like GoldenEye experience similar frame rate drops as the original, ModRetro plans firmware updates.
