Midjourney, a prominent player in the AI image generation field, has acquired the astrology application Co-Star. This strategic move, confirmed to have taken place in the spring, is poised to introduce a novel astrology-focused image generator from Midjourney. Co-Star, which provides users with advice based on their birth details, currently engages approximately 4.3 million monthly active users.

The founder of Midjourney, David Holz, has a long-standing relationship with Co-Star's founder, Banu Guler, expressing admiration for her insights. Guler will now serve as the chief design officer at Midjourney, aiming to leverage AI as a tool to reveal human insights. This partnership signifies a unique intersection of AI technology and the growing popularity of astrology, particularly among younger demographics and women.
