Microsoft Shake-up: Teams Moves to LinkedIn Chief
6 May
Summary
- Ryan Roslansky now leads a new Work Experiences Group.
- Microsoft Teams organization reports to Roslansky.
- Changes follow Rajesh Jha's retirement after 35 years.

Microsoft has undergone a significant leadership reshuffle, with Ryan Roslansky, currently CEO of LinkedIn, taking on an expanded role. Roslansky will now lead a new Work Experiences Group, a move that includes bringing the Microsoft Teams organization under his purview. This reorganization is a direct consequence of Rajesh Jha's retirement after over 35 years at the company.
Jha's former responsibilities spanned critical areas like Windows, Office, Copilot, and Microsoft 365. To manage this transition, Charles Lamanna will now lead the Copilot, Agents, and Platform (CAP) team, which encompasses key M365 and Dynamics 365 services. Veteran executives Jeff Teper and Kirk Koenigsbauer will report to Lamanna in new capacities.
Pavan Davuluri continues to lead the Surface and Windows divisions, with the acquired Intentional team now under his direction. Perry Clarke has been appointed CTO of Application Systems, focusing on the architecture of M365 and Copilot. These new reporting lines, including Roslansky, Lamanna, Davuluri, and Clarke, will directly report to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella starting June 30th.
The restructuring coincides with Microsoft offering a voluntary retirement program to long-serving employees. US employees whose age plus years of service total 70 or more are eligible for this one-time opportunity, with full details being announced imminently.
